Description
The ALTECNIC 18LT INTERMEDIATE VESSEL SX-VI0018 is made of Noryl plastic or stainless steel and features a pre-pressurised air chamber with a synthetic rubber compound bladder to resist corrosion and maintain water quality. Its external surfaces come in a black or natural finish for stainless steel. The vessel is designed for temperatures up to 160˚C and can withstand ethylene or propylene glycol mixtures with low gas permeability. All Altecnic mini expansion vessels have been tested to comply with the Pressure Systems Directive. In a closed hot water circuit, the expansion vessel accommodates any increase in volume caused by a rise in temperature. When the system is cold, the bladder collapses due to the pre-charge pressure until the pump is activated, inflating the bladder. temperature. The intermediate vessel hold a quantity of water which is allowed to cool and it is this cooled water which enters the expansion vessel.
